0.720 Aleación: in 1984, with the intention of bringing together traditional Mexican music, rock and jazz, elements coming from different groups (Canek, Vientos para un Nuevo Día, Chac Mool, La Nopalera) came together and created 0.720 Aleación. Its original members were Job Hernández on guitar and bass, Eduardo Zamarripa on guitar, piano and violin, Carlos Castro on drums, Carlos Torres on violin and Abraham Viñas on flute and quinta huapanguera. His first LP came out in 1986. Later, Severo Viñas, a former member of Real de Catorce and Gerardo Batíz's group, would join the percussion and electric bass. The styles were described by the band themselve as a hodgepode of Canterbury, Krautrock, Spanish , Italian and French prog. The overriding inlfluence comes from, again in the bands words, their indiginous roots.
